The agreements, two in their entirety, will be signed during the visit of a Mongolian delegation headed by Minister of Justice and Home Affairs, Enkhbayar Battumur, to Cuba on Tuesday, according to a meeting held in Ulaanbaatar between Cuban Ambassador to Mongolia Jorge Ferrer and the functionary himself before he departed for Havana.

According to the Cuban Embassy in Ulaanbaatar, the said agreements will provide more legal security for citizens, given the increased presence of Mongolian travelers and students on scholarships in Cuba, besides entrepreneurs and companies from both countries.

Battumur, who is also a member of the Mongolian Parliament, and the delegation accompanying him will also meet with law enforcement authorities and visit places of interest in Cuba.

During the meeting with Ferrer, the Mongolian minister expressed his country’s interest in developing relations and cooperation in implementing the said agreements.

In the presence of Narantuya Choijantsan, director of the International Treaty and Foreign Cooperation Department of that Ministry, among other public servants, the Cuban diplomat reiterated his country’s willingness to continue deepening bilateral cooperation in several areas of common interest for the benefit of both peoples.
