The National Emergency System (SINAE) said that there are 1,561 evacuees and self-evacuees in the departments of San José, Colonia, Florida, Paysandú, Canelones, Soriano and Río Negro.
According to the latest report, 1,418 customers are still without electricity service.
A score of routes are cut by the waters, the SINAE said.
Until Wednesday, March 20, the warning to the population regarding atmospheric instability issued by the Uruguayan Institute of Meteorology (INUMET) is in force.
Forecasts indicate that the beginning of the week will again be unstable, with rains and storms in most of the country.
