President of Brazil promotes first ministerial meeting of the year

Brasilia, Mar 18 (Prensa Latina) Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva will promote the first ministerial meeting of the year to assess the progress of government programs and actions, at a time when surveys indicate that his popularity has taken a hit.

Survey “Quaest” announced on March 6th, that the negative evaluation of the administration rose 5%, and while Lula’s disapproval increased from 43 percent in December to 46.

In addition, the percentage of those who approve of the president’s work fell from 54 percent to 51.

The digital newspaper Estadão assures that other studies also identified problems and triggered the alert at the headquarters of the Executive Branch. According to the site, Lula seeks with this meeting to achieve a mark for his management in this year of municipal elections, for which he consulted politicians and specialists on how to improve government communication.

With this objective, he spoke last week with publicist Sidônio Palmeira, who took over the propaganda of Lula da Silva’s campaign in 2022. Sidônio commented to Estadão, at the end of 2023, that the left is losing the dispute with the right on social networks.
