In the first of four days of the event, held at the fairgrounds of the Porte de Versailles, Cuba’s stand highlights the domestic benefits in the so-called smokeless industry, a diversity of proposals reflected in the Unique Cuba promotional campaign.
Participating in the World Tourism Fair is always important, considering that France is among Cuba’s top 20 tourist-sending markets, the specialist of International Relations of the Ministry of Tourism (MINTUR) Carmen Casal, told Prensa Latina.
Speaking about the opening of the forum for the general public, which attracts tens of thousands of people interested in planning their next vacations and trips every year, she expressed satisfaction and at the same time expectation for the reception of visitors in Cuba as a destination.
It is motivating to note the appreciation and interest of the French for Cuba, its history, its culture and the contact with its inhabitants, she said.
According to Casal, the fair allows updating the news of the destination and providing information about it, thanks to the presence of representatives of hotel chains such as Melia, Iberostar and Cubanacan, the Havanatur tour operator and other stockholders.
Regarding Cuba’s stand, the minister highlighted the opportunity it represents to promote Cuba’s music, traditions and typical products, including the popular mojito cocktail.
