Light screens in Panama denounce US blockade against Cuba

Panama, Mar 1 (Prensa Latina) An initiative by the Cuban Embassy in Panama shows a short video mapping that denounces the United States blockade against Cuba, a hostile policy that has lasted more than 60 years.

The audiovisual materials, screened on surfaces to create a moving effect, show the effect of the economic, commercial, and financial blockade on Cuba’s economy and families, the will to resist, and the people’s attachment to the sovereignty and self-determination principles.

In the last few years, the Cuban Embassy in Panama, the National Solidarity Coordinator, popular and trade union organizations, and the Marti Association of Cuban Residents in Panama have intensified their actions to demand an end to the coercive measures and contribute to Cuba’s legitimate development.

Caravans, congresses, collections of medical supplies, and commemorations of several historic anniversaries have also condemned other arbitrary pressures, such as Cuba’s inclusion in Washington’s State Sponsors of Terrorism (SSOT) list.

The 24th National Meeting of Solidarity Groups held in Boquete, Chiriqui, adopted resolutions that expressed firm support for the noble cause of the Cuban people to end the criminal blockade and to remove Cuba from the discriminatory list that threatens, among other things, its international financial and commercial relations.
