The arrangements were the result of an online conversation between Le Hoai Trung, Chairman of the Foreign Relations Commission at the VCP Central Committee, and his Cuban counterpart, Emilio Lozada García.
The two political leaders also pledged to continue coordinating the removal of existing barriers to promote binational ties in trade, production, and investment and favor the efficient operation of the two countries’ enterprises, especially in the agricultural sector.
In the meeting, both sides briefed on the situation of each party and State and reviewed bilateral cooperation and plans for the relations between their political forces, VNA reported.
They also highlighted cooperation between the Foreign Affairs Commissions of the VCP and PCC, which contributes to fostering friendship, speeding up the implementation of the agreements sealed between the two parties, and ensuring the success of the joint activities deployed in 2023.
Among these activities, they mentioned commemorating the 50th anniversary of the first visit of the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro, to the liberated zone of South Vietnam and holding the 5th inter-party Theoretical Symposium in this country.
Hoai Trung, in turn, was sensitive to the Cuban people’s complex situation, expressed confidence that the country would overcome current hardships and challenges, and reiterated the support by the Vietnamese Party, State, and people for the just revolutionary cause of Cuba.
