According to the entity, the mobilization will take place at 09:30, local time. Participants will express their rejection of President Javier Milei’s decision to paralyze existing projects as part of a strong adjustment plan.

In particular, the protesters will question the recent interruption of contracts in the Dycasa company, dedicated to the execution and concession of road, port, architectural, commercial and industrial, hydraulic works, for nuclear power plants and hospitals, educational, cultural, and sports complexes, among other constructions.

On Monday, the UOCRA declared itself on alert and convened a permanent assembly at the national level. It also reported that “during the last two months, more than 50,000 direct jobs and more than 100,000 indirect jobs were lost in the sector as a result of the lack of financing and the paralysis of public projects by the current Government.”

“It is unacceptable that the Executive does not take responsibility for the economic, labor, and social effects of its measures; that it does not call for dialogue and puts at risk legal security in terms of investment, affecting the urgent demands of all regions of our country”, according to a statement from the organization.

The UOCRA also warned about the effects of the abrupt and generalized drop in economic activity, the high inflation, and the reluctance of businessmen to agree to a wage increase.
