This Tuesday, participants are reflecting, among other things, on the alternatives to confront the media war of the great power centers against the nations and the need to defend the revolutionary theory.
This forum started on Monday with a call for unity and the struggle for peace and solidarity of the peoples against imperialist aggressions and is a continuation of the first of these meetings held in Havana in February 2023.
Communist Party of Cuba’s Ideological Department head, Rogelio Polanco, emphasized, in his opening speech, the importance of exchanging visions and agreeing on actions based on committed reflection as a continuity of the leftist historical struggles.
Polanco identified as action lines the condemnation of imperialism and Zionism, the struggle for peace, and the solidarity of the peoples against imperialist aggressions, which he described as the most elementary of the commitments to assume by the leftist theoretical publications.
Those attending the event reflected on the importance of articulating efforts to strengthen the leftist unity without losing its identity.
They attended the launch of the book “Ensayos Americanos” (American Essays) by Cuban philosopher Isabel Monal.
