Gil responded to a message from Nichols, who condemned an alleged “violent attack on a campaign event in Venezuela,” which was denounced by disqualified presidential candidate María Corina Machado.
“The international community has reaffirmed the urgent need to implement all elements of the Barbados electoral roadmap agreement, including the rejection of violence and building a culture of tolerance and political coexistence,” Nichols said.
The Venezuelan Foreign Minister wrote last night on X that Nichols not only showed “signs of cynicism” when talking about violence, coming from the bloodiest empire ever known but that he is “a great liar who reproduces, without any shame, any lie said by his tutored failures in our country.”
“I advise you to move away from this position and avoid once again making a world of ridicule from which, as the popular saying goes, you can never return,” the Foreign Minister said.
