The Rodong Sinmun newspaper, the official organ of the Workers’ Party, recalled that the creation of the KPA on February 8, 1948, was a milestone because the country had its own military guarantee in defense of the revolution since then.

Since its founding 76 years ago, the KPA has shared the same destiny with the Party and has been faithful to its natural mission of safeguarding the achievements of the State and the people.

Minju Joson, the official organ of the government and the Standing Committee of the Supreme People’s Assembly, stressed that the nation will remain powerful and prosperous as long as it is defended by the revolutionary armed forces led by Kim Jong Un.
