According to Chile´s Interior Minister Carolina Tohá, four people were on board, three of them managed to get out of the helicopter, but Piñera, 74, who failed to remove his seat belt.

Tohá said that the Police officers recovered Piñera´s body, and President Gabriel Boric ordered that a state funeral be held and declared national mourning.
