The meeting with the top diplomat from Burkina Faso took place in the Yellow House of the Foreign Ministry, where Gil was accompanied by Deputy Foreign Minister for Africa Yuri Pimentel, according to a video posted on his X account.

The head of the Venezuelan diplomacy announced the installation of the 1st Joint Commission to strengthen cooperation and friendship directly between both nations for the “benefit of our peoples.”

In May last year, the Prime Minister of Burkina Faso, Apollinaire Kyélem de Tambèla, paid an official visit to Venezuela in the context of the 20th anniversary of diplomatic relations and to strengthen the ties of friendship and cooperation.

The agenda focused on strengthening bi-national cooperation in the agricultural, mining, oil, educational, commercial and cultural sectors, within the framework of Bolivarian Diplomacy of Peace, based on relations of respect and self-determination of the peoples, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs pointed out.
