One of the tasks – carried out by the Modernization, Machinery and Electronics Institutes – will be the construction of the Kangdong Greenhouse Farm for vegetable production, located on the outskirts of the capital.

Conceived by Kim Jong Un, general secretary of the Workers’ Party (WPK) and chairman of the State Affairs Committee, the 20×10 policy is a strategy of changes to develop local industries with endogenous resources.

The decision, in line with the government’s will to march toward full autonomy of the country, was one of the decisions of the recently held 19th Enlarged Meeting of the Political Bureau of the 8th Session of the WPK Central Committee.
