According to the press outlet, the president will travel accompanied by the Secretary General of the Presidency, Karina Milei, the Minister of the Interior, Guillermo Francos, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Diana Mondino.
Milei and members of his cabinet will arrive in Israel on Tuesday, where they will stay for four days. On Thursday they will fly to Rome, where they will be received by the Italian Prime Minister, Georgia Meloni.
On the 11th of this month, the head of state will participate in the solemn mass of canonization of María Antonia de San José in St. Peter’s Basilica, in the Vatican.
The president is scheduled to be received by Pope Francis and return to Argentina on the 12th.
Last month, Milei sent a letter to the Supreme Pontiff and invited him to visit Argentina.
During the campaign prior to the general elections, Milei pointed out that the Pope was an “unpresentable and disastrous character”, insulted him with epithets such as “representative of the devil on Earth” and permitted the economist Alberto Benegas to talk about ending diplomatic relations with The Vatican.
