Low temperatures and strong winds will continue in Costa Rica

San José, Jan 31 (Prensa Latina) The National Meteorological Institute (IMN) of Costa Rica reported that the 14th cold front will continue its influence until Thursday and will generate strong winds especially in the Central Valley and northern Guanacaste.

A report from the entity highlights that gusts between 40 and 65 kilometers per hour are expected in the Central Valley, where there will be a cooler thermal sensation in the east and north of the Greater Metropolitan Area (GAM).

In Guanacaste, winds and gusts will reach between 60 and 100 kilometers per hour, the report adds.

On the other hand, strong winds will cause intermittent rains in the Caribbean and Northern Zone during the night.

Accelerated trade winds have been occurring for several days in this Central American nation, due to the high atmospheric pressure in the region.

Since then, the IMN warns to pay special attention to very strong wind gusts, so caution is recommended for wind gusts and possible damage to roofs, electrical wiring, signs, trees, as well as in the mountainous parts of the country and the northern province of Guanacaste (national parks, volcanoes).
