The national entity of climate measurement warned about a new rise in thermometers from this Wednesday until Saturday, with maximum temperatures expected to exceed 40 degrees Celsius in several localities, without ruling out new records in some areas.
The Meteorological management issued a special alert warning of intense temperatures from the south to the center of the two regions of the country (North and South), with peaks between 41 to 43 degrees Celsius.
These marks will persist this Wednesday and tomorrow Thursday, warned the weather measuring and forecasting agency, which, in its report, also alerted about the present heat spike at the beginning of the week, after several days of some coolness at dawn and at certain hours of the night.
The intense heat was generalized since last Wednesday in most of the 17 departments, with an average thermal sensation close to 50 degrees Celsius, which surpassed the maximum so far recorded, of 48,6 degrees Celsius, on December 15, 2023.
