Cabello addressed different current national issues at his traditional Monday press conference, among which he referred to the opposition, “Comply with the Barbados Agreement or ask the US if they complied with any of their commitments.”
The party’s leader pointed out that the Supreme Court of Justice made a steady pronouncement in the sentences on the disqualification or not of opposition politicians, among which were Henrique Capriles and Machado, who have been disabled for 15 years, a sentence ratified by the highest judicial body.
Cabello, head of the Homeland Bloc in the National Assembly commented that the Democratic Unitary Platform (PUD) can say whatever it wants and so can Maria Corina, but “they deceived their own people.”
The PSUV’s vice president expressed that those of the right wing are the same ones who planned coups d’état, adding that the opposition candidate Antonio Ledezma, fugitive from justice in Spain, who remarked that without the opposition candidate for this year’s presidential elections (Maria Corina) “there will be no elections”.
Cabello assured that their anti-democratic disposition is evident, and that they are not interested in elections because they always believed that the Barbados Agreement in October 2023 was to capitulate; thus, the leader granted that “we are not going to capitulate to anyone.”
The authority expressed that when President Nicolas Maduro or the head of the delegation for the ruling party to the dialogues with the PUD Jorge Rodriguez say that the agreement is mortally wounded “it is not because of us,” but because of those who have not complied with it.
