At the closing ceremony of the 3rd G77+China Summit to be held at the Speke Resort Munyonyo Conference Center, the Ugandan leader referred to the assistance sent by the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro, for the construction of medical schools in Uganda.
Cuban doctors came not only to treat patients here, but also to train our specialists, Museveni emphasized, while valuing the strength of the collaboration among G77+China member nations.
Museveni also stressed the pressing need for the production of goods and services, and said that in order to achieve sustainable prosperity, every family, every person must produce wealth, whether as entrepreneurs or employees.
Museveni praised the significance of the Summit, which focused on fair trade exchange among the nations of the South and financing for development.
Cuba was represented at the Summit by its Vice President Salvador Valdés Mesa who reaffirmed in a meeting with the Ugandan Parliament President Anita Annet Among, his country´s willingness to continue strengthening bilateral relations with Africa.
On X, Valdés Mesa claimed Cuba’s relations with Africa are historic and are a top priority for Cuba.
