Since Sunday, the event has brought together dozens of information professionals from 30 countries who advocate for counter-hegemonic communication models, on the 65th anniversary of the conference convened in 1959 by the historic leader of the Revolution, Fidel Castro, to disseminate the reality of the new-born process of transformations in Cuba.
In the letter addressed to Prensa Latina, Guzmán stated that the forum allows us to strengthen dialogue and enhance communication, and the work of the press in this sensitive and transcendental period on the international and regional stage to address phenomena such as disinformation, fake news and information distortions.
The newspaper congratulates Prensa Latina for generating this space to advance a permanent Operation Truth and states, “We are sure that the day will be fruitful and will strengthen the ties between media outlets that share transformative, progressive, left-wing editorial lines and fulfill a commendable communication task.
