Based in the northern Spanish city of Bilbao, in the Basque Country, the forum will be held from January 26 to 28, with the confirmed presence of parliamentarians, trade unionists, intellectuals, filmmakers, journalists and representatives of solidarity associations from Europe and other continents, particularly from America.
José Antonio Toledo, one of the coordinators and founders of the channel created in October 2020 to promote support for Cuba, told Prensa Latina that there are still negotiations to join the event, so the number of delegates and nations represented could increase in the coming days.
Although the forum will focus on the condemnation of the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States and the preparation of new actions to reject it, unconditional support to the Cuban Revolution on its 65th anniversary will also be expressed and homage will be paid to Cuban National Hero José Martí on the 171st anniversary of his birth.
According to Toledo, due to the anti-imperialist nature of the Bilbao meeting, it will defend the just causes of other peoples facing aggressions, such as the Venezuelan and Palestinian peoples.
