Russia and DPRK strengthen strategic ties

Moscow, Jan 17 (Prensa Latina) President Vladimir Putin and Foreign Minister of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), Choi Song Hui, discussed the development of relations, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Wednesday.

They discussed interstate relations in general, the situation on the Korean Peninsula, and exchanged views on the most pressing international issues, the Kremlin press secretary informed.

Peskov emphasized that Pyongyang is a strategic partner, and Moscow wants to strengthen relations, including sensitive ones.

DPRK leader Kim Jong-un officially visited Russia in September 2023.
