On his X account, the head of Government conveyed a hug and warm congratulations to Gibara residents, who elected him as a lawmaker at the National People’s Power Assembly (Parliament).
Marrero invited the people of Gibara to continue to work on economic and social development to achieve more prosperity.
On January 16, Gibara celebrates its 207th anniversary since 1817, when the first stone of a fortification was laid on Yarey point, where the Fernando VII Battery, a National Monument, is located.
The territory was launched as a tourist destination, due to the various attractions of this marine city, where history, traditions, gastronomy, natural beauty, and facilities with the charisma of its inhabitants are combined.
