According to the Sky TG24 TV channel, the strike was attended by members of the Flai, Adl, Ost, Fit-Cisl, Ugl-Ta, Ost Cub unions which announced that among major demands were working condition improvements and salaries.

At Malpensa and Linate airports, in the northern city of Milan, cargo handling employees joined the 24-hour demonstration, while at Florence, Rome (Fiumicino) and Venice airports security personnel also joined the demonstration.

Due to the strikes, domestic flight cancellations by Ita Airways were reported, as well as delays in airport services that has forced to slow down operations at these air terminals, according to the source.
