The St. Vincent Times website reported that the privately owned plane, bound for St. Lucia, crashed after taking off yesterday from the J.F. Mitchell airport in Bequia.
The rescue brigade said the victims included three US tourists who were on a short vacation in the territory and were identified as Christian Klepser, 51, and his daughters Annik and Madita, aged 13 and 11, respectively.
Apart from the foreigners, the owner and pilot of the vessel, Robert Sachs, also died.
St. Vincent and the Grenadines authorities said Thursday that they will continue to work closely with Eccaa and other relevant stakeholders as they await preliminary findings, which will help determine the probable cause of the accident.
