Journal de Angola note said that the president dismissed from their positions several commissioned officers of the National Police, generals and admirals and commissioned officers of the Criminal Investigation Service, under the terms of the Constitution.
Likewise, supported by the Law of Ranks and Insignias of the National Police and the Law of National Defense and the Armed Forces, and having heard the opinion of the National Security Council, the Head of State appointed other persons to these positions.
He also decreed the promotion of commissioned officers and senior officers of the National Police, as well as the retirement of commissioned officers of this body of internal order, among other acts related to the military career.
‘Dozens of officers of the National Police, the Criminal Investigation Service and the Angolan Armed Forces were promoted, and their names and corresponding actions were transcribed in the Diario da República’, the note added.
