According to spokesman Wang Wenbin, in recent months dozens of nationals, including students, were forced by U.S. authorities to return to the country .
The spokesman described these actions as typical of selective, discriminatory and politicized enforcement of the law by the United States.
He also expressed China’s strong dissatisfaction in this regard and strongly opposed these actions.
He referred to the distorted application of Executive Order number 10043, abusing the concept of national security and politicizing academic research, he added.
According to the spokesman, this measure caused repeated inspections, inconvenience and deportations of Chinese students and caused “serious harm” to their legitimate rights, which also affected the cultural dialogue between the two nations.
“China will take necessary measures to firmly protect the legitimate rights of its citizens, and Chinese students going to study in the United States are warned to be alert about the associated risks,” he said.
