Cuba to continue in-depth parliamentary agenda in 2024

Havana, Dec 23 (Prensa Latina) After critical analysis to dynamize domestic economy and the approval of three new bills, the National Assembly of People´s Power (ANPP) will continue its legislative agenda in 2024.

After intense debates, Cuba’s Justice Minister Oscar Silveira assured the country will continue in 2024 with an in-depth agenda and praised the levels of people´s involvement this year.

According to Silveira, 2023 will end with the approval of six of Acts forecast in the schedule, and an equal number of pending norms that were adjusted in the planning of the 17 legal instruments foreseen for 2024.

Debates are expected in 2024 on the Transparency and Access to Information law, Migration, Foreigners and Companies laws, among others, Silvera said.

On Friday, at the closing ceremony of the Second Session of the ANPP Congress, deputies approved regulations on Public Health, the Military Prosecutor’s Office, and the Attention to the complaints and denunciations of the population.
