The ordinary plenary session of the Cuban parliament will address until Friday issues of national of vital importance, some of which have already been critically analyzed by the members of almost a dozen PLC.
According to ANPP executives, this Wednesday, the deputies will analyze the progress of the implementation of the Family Code, Law 114 of criminal proceedings, and a group of agreements and decree laws of the Council of State to be ratified.
In the plenary session on Thursday, December 21st, the legislators will address the results of the highest supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture, as well as the accountability of the Ministry of Industries, after which they will evaluate the work of the governments of the provinces of Las Tunas, and Cienfuegos, in addition to the impact on the national economy of law 118 on foreign investment.
The closing day will include the presentation and analysis of the draft laws on public health, the military prosecutor’s office, and the system for responding to people’s complaints and requests, a topic that is being regulated for the first time in the country.
As a conclusion, the ANPP deputies will receive an update on the legislative schedule for the ending year, and the programming of parliamentary activities for 2024, consequently, it will be decided which provincial organizations and governments should render accounts in the month of July.
During last Monday and Tuesday there was a broad exchange of the PLC with heads of central government managements and those responsible for public policies, in which predominates the critical analysis of the problems pressing Cubans.
