A poll was conducted by Harris Interactive for Transparency International France and the Jean Jaures Foundation, on the occasion of the International Anti-Corruption Day.
The Franceinfo channel disclosed some details which accounts for a slight drop of those who have a bad criterion about local authorities. In 2019, since 91% of interviewees estimated local authorities are corrupt.
According to the survey, 7 out of 10 respondents claimed that as a minister is prosecuted for being corrupt he or she should resign.
By category, only mayors (41%), judges (45%) and civil servants (50%) have a more favorable opinion on corruption.
A disturbing opinion derived from the survey is that only 7% of participants said that corruption in France is dropping, 46% said corruption is scaling up.
