Cuba’s prime minister congratulates high school students

Havana, Dec 6 (Prensa Latina) Cuban Prime Minister Manuel Marrero congratulated today the members of the Federation of High School Students of Cuba, on the occasion of the 53rd anniversary of its foundation.

From the social network X, the head of government sent a hug to the members of the organization, whom he described as the continuity of the Cuban Revolution.

As our Commander in Chief Fidel Castro said at the closing of the VI Congress of this organization: “the future is being built for you,” Marrero wrote on the digital platform.

The prime minister also sent congratulations to the Youth Technical Brigades for their 59th anniversary and invited them to continue with their significant contributions to science and innovation, one of the pillars of the Cuban government’s management.

The FEEM emerged on December 6, 1970 as part of the process of strengthening mass organizations, in order to revitalize the student movement in secondary education.

It was preceded by the Union of Secondary Students and the José Antonio Echeverría Student Brigades, which contributed significant experiences for the formation of the new organization whose main objective would be to channel the concerns of students.

Its creation represented a step forward in the organizational development of the student movement and thus was formed the Cuban youth associative system of great impact on the socialization of the new generations.
