The spokesman for the Gaza Health Ministry, Ashraf al Qidra, said that there are also dozens of wounded, so it is not ruled out that the death toll will continue to rise.
Al Qidra said that the reality of the healthcare system in Gaza, especially in the north, is catastrophic due to the fact that the main hospitals are out of service and medical facilities and clinics are very limited.
During the pause, 80 Israeli hostages were exchanged for 240 Palestinian prisoners and some humanitarian aid, medical supplies and fuel were restored to the Gaza Strip, but without covering the immense needs of the territory today.
The temporary truce failed to cover the needs of the enclave’s health system, badly damaged by the brutal offensive launched by Israel.
