According to Syrian media reports, the two sides exchanged views on the developments in the region, which is witnessing an unprecedented and brutal Israeli escalation against the Palestinian people in Gaza.
Sabbagh, Bogdanov, and Vershinin also discussed the repeated Zionist air attacks on the Syrian and Lebanese territories, the latest of which took place at Damascus International Airport, which was put out of service.
Sabbagh called for halting these aggressions immediately, condemning their perpetrators, and allowing the continuous flow of humanitarian aid, besides rejecting all attempts to liquidate the just Palestinian cause and ensuring that the people receive all their legitimate rights.
According to a statement issued by the Syrian Foreign Ministry, the two sides agreed on continuing cooperation in fighting terrorism, respecting Syria’s sovereignty, ending the illegal presence of foreign forces on its territory, and dealing with the effects of the illegal blockade imposed by Western countries.
