Approval of President Lula grows in Brazil

Brasilia, Nov 24 (Prensa Latina) The Government of Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva has a 53 percent approval, which shows a notable change, according to a study by the Reputation and Image Research Institute (IPRI).

In collaboration with the Corporate Communication agency, IPRI indicates that the percentage of those who approve of Lula’s administration exceeds by 38 percent those who disapprove.

According to the Brasil 24/7 portal, this shows stability in the improvement perceived by respondents. “The survey provides a detailed view of the perceptions of Brazilians in relation to the current government” through a representative sample of two thousand home interviews and a margin of error of two percentage points.

The optimal/good category evidenced a minimal oscillation, decreasing two percent compared to the last survey on October 29th.

However, the bad/terrible condition registered a significant drop of five percent (previously it was 33 and now it is 28 percent), apparently migrating towards the regular classification, which experienced a five-percent increase.

Lula affirmed on October 30th that a year ago democracy won in Brazil, recalling the elections in which he defeated Jair Bolsonaro, who sought re-election.

“A year ago, democracy won at the polls. From there on out we resumed social programs, we reduced deforestation and unemployment, we recovered Brazil’s image in the world and improved life. What do you think and how do you feel a year later?” Lula da Silva wrote on social networks.
