López Obrador satisfied with results of San Francisco meeting

Mexico, Nov 21 (Prensa Latina) The President of Mexico, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, today expressed satisfaction with the results for his country of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Forum held in San Francisco, California.

First of all, he highlighted the meeting he had with his Chinese counterpart, Xi Jinping, who gave him special treatment, since not all presidents were received by him in bilateral meetings, nor by the president of the United States, Joe Biden, who only met with him and the Chinese president.

He repeated that both meetings were very good in an international meeting that took place in circumstances of many tensions with the conflict in Ukraine and the attacks on the Gaza Strip, and that is why it was transcendent with both of them present.

He said the most important thing is dialogue and trying to solve controversies in a peaceful way, and to contribute to development since there are one billion human beings who survive on less than one dollar a day, and that instead of war, to think about the welfare of the peoples.

He recalled the enormous support provided by China to Mexico in the first months of the Covid-19 pandemic with the permanent supply of sanitary material and vaccines, and now with the Acapulco misfortune, which committed to supply a large part of the 250,000 household appliances needed, including mattresses, stoves and even blenders.

He described the meeting with Biden as extraordinary, we discussed immigration, drugs, economic cooperation, the granting of visas, and the same with the bilateral meeting held with the Prime Minister of Canada, Justin Trudeau.
