Telam news agency stated that both entities warned of the insufficient amount of ballots delivered by LLA and the inadequate way of packaging them, since they were packed in closed boxes or black bags, which makes their control and verification difficult.
According to what was established, the State must provide the competing lists with the funds to print the ballots and each organization must send to the polling stations the maximum number foreseen in the electoral roll (350 for each one of them), plus an additional number to face any contingency.
With the excuse of avoiding a feasible theft, the party led by Javier Milei decided to deliver about 200 ballots less per package and communicated that the rest will be taken by prosecutors to the polling stations enabled for the appointment at the polls.
In view of this situation, judges Jorge Moran, Sebastian Picasso and Maria Servini pointed out that any inconvenience will be the sole responsibility of this group and assured that, “under no circumstances, the development of the election may be interrupted due to the lack of ballots.”
Meanwhile, the presidential candidate for “Together for the Homeland” Sergio Massa criticized LA’s attempts to install the idea of a possible fraud, and affirmed that the examples of former US President Donald Trump and Brazilian Jair Bolsonaro of not accepting the results are very bad.
