A bilateral meeting between the Supreme Courts of the two countries, led by Remigio Ferro and his Lao counterpart, Viengthong Siphandon, opened the agenda on Thursday, when he and his companions paid a courtesy visit to National Assembly President Saysomphone Phomvihane.
The Cuban TSP delegation will also meet with Xayasana Kotphuthone, president of the Lao People’s Supreme Prosecutor’s Office; Chaleun Yiapahoer, vice president of the Lao National Assembly and chairman of the Lao-Cuba Parliamentary Friendship Association; and Justice Minister Phayvy Siboualipha.
On Friday, Remigio Ferro and his delegation will travel to Luang Prabang province to visit the Provincial and District 1 People’s Courts and tour places of interest. He was welcomed by Khamkhun Chanthavisouk, Governor and member of the Central Committee of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party.
The Cuban delegation will return to Vientiane on Saturday to visit the Food and Drug Research Center at the Ministry of Health before leaving for Vietnam.
The head of the People’s Supreme Court of Cuba arrived in this capital from Hanoi on Wednesday. His first activity in this nation was to lay a wreath at the monument built in memory of President Kaysone Phomsong.
During his previous stay in Hanoi, Remigio Ferro praised the dynamic exchanges with the People’s Supreme Court of Vietnam, which he thanked for its support and cooperation in the technological field.
