There are similarities in the strategic approaches of both courts, which have to do with the commitment to build a socialist, prosperous, and strengthened homeland under the leadership of the Communist Party and with the idea of serving the people, Remigio Ferro said at a meeting with Pham Quoc Hung, Deputy Chief Justice of the Supreme People’s Court of Vietnam.
Remigio Ferro, who arrived in Hanoi on Saturday, pointed out that his visit aims to take advantage of the experience at the political, administrative, and academic levels of the Supreme People’s Court, for its implementation in Cuba.
Quoc Hung talked about the success of the recent organization of the G77+China Summit in Havana, which he described as a contribution at the world level, and the top priority Cuba and Vietnam give to their relations.
He reaffirmed that Vietnam will continue to support Cuba and pointed out that the relations between the two countries courts are longstanding and they strengthen bilateral relations.
As part of the working program, Remigio Ferro and his accompanying delegation met with the president of the People’s Court in Hai Phong on Sunday, visited the Bach Dang Giang relic site, declared a national monument, and other places of interest.
Remigio Ferro will also visit the Court Academy in Hanoi on Monday and the People’s Court in Hanoi on Tuesday to promote the exchange of working groups, information, and experiences on judicial reform.
