The first proposal will be on Friday, Nov. 3 at 7 p.m. local time with the catwalk presentation of the “SS-24” collection by Portuguese designer Miguel Trigo; the “Art and Fashion” performance with Icons of Rebellion; and the “Embaixatriz Alta Costura” collection by the Qatari Embassy in Havana.
On Saturday 4, the activities will start at 10:00 local time, and as part of the day of the Convention on the Rights of the Child will be presented the exhibition and the talk “Soy Pepa by Blasco”, by Lourdes Davalos, from Arts and Child Neurodiversity, as published by the museum on its Facebook profile.
Later on, the Art Platform for Children “Happy Heart” adds Cuban artists Rochy Ameneiro, Zenén Calero and Rubén Darío Salazar with Teatro de las Estaciones, and the Havana Sueños Company.
The Art and Fashion event has been, for these two decades, the platform to show the possibilities that Cuban designers have using natural or recycled materials.
It is also seen in its editions, the use of textiles in a novel way, as a laboratory focused on fashion that is not to wear, but aims for experiments and towards the future, as stated by its organizers.
