“On October 30, 1983, after the terror of the dictatorship (1976-1983), we returned to cast our votes in the ballot, and we became protagonists of our country’s destiny,” the president posted on X.
“It cost many lives. We have the duty to guarantee democratic coexistence, respecting each other in diversity. In this way we will be able to achieve the social justice that we still owe each other,” he added.
The head of State pointed out that in three weeks citizens will decide who will lead the future of Argentina when referring to the ballot on November 19 between the candidate for “Union por la Patria,” Sergio Massa, and the candidate for “La Libertad Avanza,” Javier Milei.
Meanwhile, the President of the Grandmothers of Plaza de Mayo association Estela de Carlotto stressed the significance of continuing to fight for memory, truth and justice, as well as the search for the grandchildren abducted during the military regime.
