Cubans in Costa Rica support upcoming UN resolution against blockade

San José, Oct 30 (Prensa Latina) The Antonio Maceo Cultural Association of Cubans living in Costa Rica (AsocultCR) highlights the upcoming UN General Assembly, in which the island will present the draft resolution on the need to put an end to the U.S. blockade.

The AsocultCR statement stresses that they want to make it clear that “we are many Cubans of good will, very many, who from all the latitudes of the planet where we live, love, defend and unconditionally support our people and the Homeland”.

The text states that the world will once again have the opportunity to speak out against the unjust sanctions that for all these years have weighed on our Cuban people, which is reaffirmed year after year by the majority of the United Nations.

The statement points out that in spite of the attempts of the anti-Cuban ultra-right wing based in the North American nation, the report on the need to put an end to the U.S. economic, commercial and financial blockade, as well as the vote at the UN, will once again demonstrate the world’s rejection of this crime against humanity.
