According to the Syrian Ministry of Defense, an Israeli aggression was conducted at 1:35 hours, local time, by missiles fired from Israeli warplanes flying over the occupied Syrian Golan.
The hostile action caused some material losses in two positions of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) near Izra, Dara’a province, about 100 kilometers south of Damascus, the source reported.
Tel Aviv has carried out 39 attacks on Syrian territory this year, the latest of which took place on October 25. It killed at least eight Syrian soldiers in Dara’a governorate.
Israel frequently attacks Syrian territory under the pretext of endangering Iranian targets. In the meantime, Damascus claims that these clashes cause civilian casualties, aim to prolong the war, keep the country unstable, and weaken its national army.
Washington maintains some 15 bases on Syrian territory without the consent of the Damascus Government or the approval of the United Nations.
Syria has repeatedly denounced this presence, which it describes as an occupation, and stated that the US soldiers’ actions on the national territory promote terrorist activities and aim to destabilize the country and plunder its wealth.
