According to Irna news agency, the drills started in the Nasrabad region of Isfahan on Friday, in the presence of senior military commanders, including the deputy chief of staff of Iran’s Armed Forces, Brigadier General Aziz Nasirzadeh.
Military spokespeople said that the exercise involves various army units, including infantry, armor, missiles, artillery, aviation, and drones, as well as electronic and cyber warfare units.
Irna added that according to the new organizational structure, the maneuvers focus on four key characteristics: speed, precision, intelligence and the ability to automate and network military equipment.
It was also reported that the Iranian Air Force prepared more than 200 transport and combat helicopters to carry out its mission during the maneuvers.
