The exhibition for young filmmakers organized by the Hermanos Saíz Association, which is one of the most important spaces for the Cuban audiovisual industry outside Havana, now focuses on the experiences of counterpart spaces in Europe.

Via online, Benjamín Reyes, main producer of “DOCUROCK educates”, made reference to the objectives of his event and the similarities with the Warehouse.

“Our purposes are several, among them to create an international dialogue, also that our pieces are linked to a dialogue with a critical view of society, also to create a space for socialization,” he said.

For those present, the idea of disseminating an inclusive culture through audiovisuals and creating spaces of freedom was a constant in the debate.

Reyes himself assured that expanding with art “goes even to people with autism and other disabilities,” he said.

The Warehouse and DOCUROCK also have that as a point of contact, and Ihordan Torres, member of the Organizing Committee of the Cuban event, referred to it.

“For us it is also key to reach the most remote communities with our samples,” he summarized.

Among the participants in the Warehouse, which ends on the 28th, are students from the Camagüey branch of the Higher Institute of Arts, who referred to the need to expand links through audiovisuals.
