According to the Hurriyet newspaper, the president questioned how many more lives have to be sacrificed before the demand for a cease-fire, in the context of the meeting of heads of State and government of the regional group in Brussels, Belgium.

At this meeting, the 27 are drawing up a common declaration with “pauses and humanitarian corridors” to facilitate the entry of aid into the Gaza Strip, besieged by Tel Aviv since October 7.

However, Erdogan denounced that those who maintain lukewarm attitudes are really accomplices of Israel, a country with a historical repression and occupation of the Palestinian territory during the last 75 years.

The Turkish president emphasized that “even if we are left alone, we will not stop exposing the truth and expressing our considerations about what is right, even if it may bother someone”.

Türkiye reclamó a UE petición de cese el fuego entre Israel y Hamas

Ankara, 26 oct (Prensa Latina) El presidente de Türkiye, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, reclamó hoy a la Unión Europea (UE) una postura más clara respecto a la agudización del conflicto entre Israel y el movimiento de resistencia palestino Hamas.

Según informó el diario Hurriyet, el mandatario cuestionó cuántas vidas más tienen que sacrificarse antes de la demanda de alto el fuego, en el contexto de la reunión de jefes de Estado y de Gobierno del grupo regional en Bruselas, Bélgica.

En ese encuentro los 27 elaboran una declaración común con “pausas y corredores humanitarios”, para facilitar la entrada de ayuda en la Franja de Gaza, asediada por Tel Aviv desde el 7 de octubre pasado.

No obstante, Erdogan denunció que quienes mantienen actitudes tibias, son realmente cómplices de Israel, país con una histórica represión y ocupación sobre el territorio palestino durante los últimos 75 años.

El presidente turco enfatizó que “aunque nos quedemos solos, no dejaremos de exponer la verdad y expresar nuestras consideraciones sobre lo correcto, si bien pueda molestar a alguien”.
