According to TASS agency,Putin stated that “all of us are following with anxiety and with pain in our hearts the tragic situation in the Holy Land, which has, for Christians, Muslims, and Jews, a sacred meaning, that is, for the followers of the largest traditional religions in the world”.
The Russian president drew the attention to the fact that a new increase of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict has already claimed thousands of lives, and pointed out that Russia has experienced what international terrorism is.
“We know what it is like. We will always feel the bitterness of the irreplaceable losses suffered by our country during the years of fighting international terrorism,” Putin added.
The head of the Russian state also expressed his condolences to the families of Israelíes and Palestinians, and citizens of other countries, whose beloved ones were killed or injured in the attack on the 7 of October last.
