The entry into service of this advanced technology platform has a lifting capacity of 22 thousand tons, which will allow the shipyard to carry out repairs and increase the autonomy of the shipping industry.
Chinese and Cuban specialists took on the preparation of the naval structure, a million-dollar investment that is part of the collaboration and cooperation projects between the Cuban Ministry of Transportation (Mitrans) and the People’s Republic of China.
Present at the event were the head of the transport portfolio on the Caribbean island, Eduardo Rodriguez, and the Chinese ambassador in Havana, Ma Hui, who visited the shipyard last September to follow up on this process of launching the construction site.
