Venezuelan foreign minister thanks Cuban president for support

Caracas, Oct 20 (Prensa Latina) Foreign Minister Yván Gil thanked Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel on Friday for his words of support in light of the significant achievement of the dialogue promoted by President Nicolás Maduro.

“We also appreciate the repeated call for the complete lifting of the unilateral coercive measures that have caused so much damage to our people,” the foreign minister wrote on X, formerly Twitter.

On the same social platform, Díaz-Canel acknowledged the Bolivarian Government on Thursday for the “agreements reached in Barbados,” where two documents that grant political and electoral guarantees for all and the defense of the nation’s integrity were signed.

In his message, the Cuban head of State demanded the definitive end of the unilateral coercive measures implemented by the Government of the United States “against Venezuela.”

Gil also thanked Colombian President Gustavo Petro on Friday “for his great support to promote political dialogue in our country” to continue to guarantee security and peace for all Venezuelans.

Other authorities, including Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, Bolivian President Luis Arce, Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez, and the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, among others, approved the agreements between the Bolivarian Government and the Unitary Platform opposition coalition.
