People’s Daily President Tuo Zhen told Prensa Latina President Luis Enrique González that both countries share a special relationship, and recalled President Miguel Díaz-Canel’s visit to China in 2018.
“The links between Cuba and China are a good example of how ties of solidarity and collaboration between developing countries should be,” he said.
In this regard, Tuo noted that “our media have played a key role in building bilateral relations, by reporting truthfully and objectively on their respective realities.”
In particular, Tuo praised the importance of Prensa Latina’s reach in Cuba and in Latin America and the Caribbean, and praised its contributions to journalism, as well as its “excellent publications” on our peoples.
According to Chinese journalist, this is one of the reasons why Prensa Latina was elected member of the Board of Directors of the Belt and Road News Network.
