The president of Prensa Latina, Luis Enrique González, told his Chinese counterpart, Wang Xiaohui, that this is a great opportunity to cooperate together in favor of a new world information order. “For almost 65 years, the Latin American News Agency Prensa Latina has been an alternative to the hegemonic media, publishes content 24 hours a day, has collaboration agreements with over 100 international news agencies and reaches hundreds of thousands of users every day,” he said.
Wang stressed that both entities have common objectives in the area of communication and are complementary, therefore, collaboration will allow them to make the most of their potential in both content and audiences. He also highlighted that this agreement opens the doors to sharing more stories about Cuba and China, which are linked by a special friendship.
Wang also urged to expand this cooperation in the future and take advantage of the opportunities that multimedia offers to media in the new era.
Both sides are committed to actively promote the use of each other’s news, photos and comments on their respective platforms. They will also cooperate in the production of news and videos on topics of common interest.
