Another day of bomb threats in French airports

Paris, Oct 19 (Prensa Latina) Not for recurring in recent days, the situation of bomb threats in French airports ceases to be of concern due to the prevailing global scenario, as another day of false alarms and evacuated facilities was reported on Thursday.

According to local media, 14 air terminals received threats today, and at least eight were evacuated, a tense process that involves the mobilization of specialized police forces, for example in demining, and cancelled or delayed flights.

According to a report in the newspaper Le Figaro, the airports affected on Thursday were those of Béziers, Brest, Bordeaux-Mérignac, Carcassonne, Montpellier, Nantes, Rennes and Tarbes, a list that includes large cities such as Nantes, Montpellier and Bordeaux, and smaller ones like Tarbes.

On Wednesday, a dozen facilities had to be evacuated, in a context that the government considers the “import” of the escalation of violence in the Israel-Palestine conflict.

On his account on the social network X, Minister of Transport Clément Beaune mentioned denunciations for each of the bomb threats, claiming that the Government does not take them lightly.

This is a crime that will be punished, the official stressed.
