According to local media, 14 air terminals received threats today, and at least eight were evacuated, a tense process that involves the mobilization of specialized police forces, for example in demining, and cancelled or delayed flights.
According to a report in the newspaper Le Figaro, the airports affected on Thursday were those of Béziers, Brest, Bordeaux-Mérignac, Carcassonne, Montpellier, Nantes, Rennes and Tarbes, a list that includes large cities such as Nantes, Montpellier and Bordeaux, and smaller ones like Tarbes.
On Wednesday, a dozen facilities had to be evacuated, in a context that the government considers the “import” of the escalation of violence in the Israel-Palestine conflict.
On his account on the social network X, Minister of Transport Clément Beaune mentioned denunciations for each of the bomb threats, claiming that the Government does not take them lightly.
This is a crime that will be punished, the official stressed.
